Geode is a generative art program, or art generator, that creates images resembling a Geode or Agate. The concept arose from experimentation with the Galaxy algorithm. Essentially, a random number of points are chosen on a line. That line is then spun around a central point to create a series of concentric rings. As the line is spinning, the points form gradients between one another and are given the freedom to move up and down on the line and change color, but are required to return to their original state by end of the rotation. The movement and color changing is Brownian similarly to BrownianPen. Additionally, there is a subtle jitter placed on position, which is why the gradients appear to be slightly imperfect.

It marks my first attempt to work representationally so it kind of excites me. I think for a first try, it turned out pretty well.

Some examples of early experiments, trying to perfect the algorithm.

This was kind of an odd result of some experimentation with starting values.
